Penguins Game Day 2 - New York Islanders

7:00 PM, Nassau Coliseum, Long Island, NY

Well this is the expected debut of the number one pick John Taveres for the Islanders. For the first, and probably only time, time this year the Coliseum will be full and it will be rockin for the Islanders game.

The Penguins need to come out early and just remind everyone why they are the best in the league and why the Islanders were at the bottom of the league. No word yet on lines, but we can expect that the Penguins will roll out mostly the same lines against the Islanders.

MAF should be in goal but no official statement has been made if it will be MAF or Brett Johnson.

It wasn't talked about yesterday but getting two poins against a division rival was huge. Holding them without a point was huge. With as many three point games as there are in the NHL, getting two points and holding your opponent without is very huge. If the Penguins can get that again today it may pay off for them in the long run. You know how close positioning is for the playoffs and every point matters. Don't give away any.

From what I am seeing we should expect to see Dwayne Roloson in the net for the Islander. Starter Rick DiPietro is still out with an injury. We could also see our good buddy Marty Biron. He is not expected to start, probably because we own him, but that is neither here nor there.

Gonna be a good atmosphere and the Islanders will feed off that. This should be a good game. Not sure if there will be a post game. Really busy today.

Lets Go Pens
