In the midst of my busy days and lack of games around here I have noticed that yet another Penguin has gone down. Jay McKee is going to be sidelined for two-four weeks with an infection in his finger. So we started with six defensemen on opening night: Orpik, Gonchar, Letang, Goligoski, McKee, and Eaton. As of right now Eaton is the only one that is healthy. Not very good.
The good news? Sarge, Orpik and Talbot are close to being back. It is thought that Sarge and Talbot could return on Thursday and Orpik could be back shortly there after. That might be some relief but I can't wait until December when they are all back and we have our team with us again.
Sid will carry the Olympic torch tonight in his hometown. Why would they want him to do this? All he does in whine. Oh, and win a Stanley Cup, but who cares about that?
Special teams changes for the Steelers? Why would you want to do that?
Larry Johnson signs with the Cincinatti Bengals. The Bengals are really playing with fire here. Bensen is going to be on the shelf for a week maybe and he's back. I know you can't have too much talent but the Bengals do not have a great track record.
Are the Bengals the best team in the AFC North? In one word, yes. They beat the Steelers twice. Nothing more is said. It is still November so there is a lot of time. But for now they are the better team, they beat Baltimore and Pittsburgh all four times.
Troy's knee looks to be a lot better than most thought. Thank God. He will most likely sit out this week and be a week to week thing. Good. Coulda been a lot worse.
