I know I come on here every week and talk about how big that weeks game is and how the Steelers have to win this one and this is the most important game of the season and blah blah blah. This is it. This is pretty much for the AFC North. The Bengals win and they will most assuradly win the AFC North and if the Steelers win they have just as much of a chance as the Bengals to win the division.
You already know this though. You know what this game means.
Remember how you felt when the Steelers lost to the Bengals last time? I do. I remember where I was and what I was doing. I was at a bar watching the game and I wanted to throw the food up that I just got done eating. It was gut wrenching. To top it off I had to hear all the "Who Dey" bullshit from a Bengals fan at work. Not again. Not with this team.
Heinz is going to be off the hook this Sunday. Sure its an early game. Doesn't matter. Lots will be full at 8:30 AM. This isn't Paul Brown with their weak "fans". This is the real fans and the Bengals will hear it. Hope they buckle up. The Steelers are coming.

If you don't know that this a huge game then you have not watched football all year. If you need to be told what is on the line today then you need not read any more. This is what it is all about. AFC North on the line, payback for a loss earlier in the year, and coming home to the Steelers faithful that was happy enough to travel/show up in Denver to take away the home field advantage for the Broncos. What a showing.
Some big points for this game:
Ike Taylor trying to shut down Chad Ochocinco (again). Chad wants to talk a big game up about how he is uncoverable and how he is the best and la la la. Truth be told Ike shuts his ass down time after time. I think it is something like in the last 15 games Chad has only three TD and one 100 yard game. One game. The Kitty Cats have only gone 5-10 in that stretch, or something like that. Yea, pretty uncoverable. Joke.
The Steelers defense crumbled down the stretch against the Bengals when they were matched up all the way back in week three. That will hopefully not be the case this week. Troy is back and the defense has looked better and better every week. This is going to be a huge statement game to let everyone know that they have not gone anywhere and that they are still here.
The Bengals defense is second in the league in rush defense. Behind who you ask? As if you had to ask its the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mendy didn't play in the last encounter but Willie Parker was able to ramble off over 90 yards on that defense. As Cotter (from OFTOT) pointed out in his game day post, in games that Mendy has got 20+ carries he has went over 150 yards both times. Hmmm, pretty interseting to see what the Steelers should do. Give him the ball and Shard please hold the f'ck onto it.
I mean its easy for me to be a recliner coach and say do this and do that. It is nice when you have a back like Mendy and a quarterback like Ben so I could sit here and say "THROW IT' or "RUN IT". The Steelers offense was able to play some pretty good football against the Bengals defense the last time. What did them in? Turnovers. Ben threw a pick six that was a big part of the Bengals turnaround. Don't fumble and don't throw six points into an average DB's hands and I think we will win this game.
James Harrison is a freak. So is LaMarr Woodley. I have a good feeling about them this weekend. It is no secret that when Carson Palmer can get some time he can be very, very dangerous. The Steelers did a so-so job of getting to Palmer in week three. If they can get to him they should be very successful this week.
Chris Henry is done for the season with a broken forearm or something to that effect. Either that or he it out trying to get with some 12 year old girl or asking some security guard if he knows who he is. What a misfit. Although I do not like Chris Henry he did make a difference for this team and he will be missed. If that aids the Steelers then its cool. Roy Williams is also out for the Bengals, and for the season. He also busted up his forearm so they will have a new face in the secondary. Ben will know this.
Most importantly lets get this win for them Pittsburgh. Recently it wasn't a big game when the Bengals came to town. It would just be another ho-hum ass beating that everyone knew was coming. The Steelers need everyone this week. Show up early, get everyone at the tailgate ready and do not let a Bengals "fan" walk past you without giving her the business. (I know I said her, I have yet to see a masculine Bengals fan) Get loud, we mean as much to that team as they mean to us whether you want believe it or not.
Overall I feel that the Steelers will show up and be effective against a surprising Bengals team. 27-14 Steelers. Hopefully its 40-0 so their "fans" can shut up and we expose them for the frauds that they are.
