Penguins Game Day 34 - vs. Philadelphia Flyers

Philadelphia Flyers

7:00 PM, Mellon Arena, Pittsburgh, PA

The Penguins take on the Flyers tonight. Is anything more needed for this match up?

There has been a lot going on for "things of the decade" since the decade is winding down and a lot of Penguins shit is all over the place. Some good, some bad, all good stuff though.

Sports Illustrated gives the Pens some props, which includes the Pens/Flyers rivalry as the best of the decade.

ESPN.com actually has the 2000 playoff game four of the Pens/Flyers as one of the 25 best of the decade. That says a lot because ESPN never does anything with hockey.

Here is a quick look at the stat comparison between the two teams:

Sure the Flyers are strugglin but that does not mean a damn thing today. These two teams hate each other and the records can get thrown out the window. Pittsburgh is coming in on a two game win streak after defeating Montreal and Florida.

Things seem to be clicking as the Penguins finally are playing with a healthy lineup after missing a lot of pieces for a real long time.

I don't know about you but this game gets me real excited. This is THE rivalry of the NHL and being from Pittsburgh there is nothing better. The only thing that could make this perfect is if we were playing in Philadelphia and Sid scores 4 goals.

Here is a little clip from the last time they played this season:

Here is your lineup from the Penguins website:
