Penguins Game Day 60 - vs. New York Islanders

New York Islanders

7:30 PM, Mellon Arena, Pittsburgh, PA

The Penguins are coming back after having a few days off after a tough loss to the Washington Capitals on Sunday. They blew a 4-1 lead and played a pretty bad third period after starting the game on fire. The defense was bad, the offense went to conservative and MAF was not all that solid in the loss. That being said, it was only one game. If one game defined a season every team will be talked about a lot differently.

This is the fourth time these teams will meet, second time at the Mellon. The Penguins have won two of the match ups with the Penguins winning the first 4-3 in a shootout on October 3 and blowing a lead November 27 in a 3-2 loss before Bing going sick nasty in a 6-4 win on January 19.
