Penguins Game Day 2 - vs. Montreal Canadians

Montreal Canadians

7:00 p.m., Consol Energy Center, Pittsburgh, PA

The last time the Penguins saw the Habs this happened:

Balls.

New year, new time to start fresh. The Habs are a decent team. Offensively they are not going to light anyone up, but they are decently strong defensively. Over an 82 game season they are not going to be able to play the type of game that won them the seven game series over the Pens last playoffs so I don't really except to see that tonight.

Also the team got rid of their goaltender, Jaro Halak so that will help. Who is in his place? Carey Price. What a hack.

Carey Price's photo from the Habs website.
Overall I thought the Penguins were alright in their opening game. It was the first game of the season and you could tell. The power play looked better and I thought MAF was pretty solid. Some people have already packed it in for the season. 82 games is a long time. The team will lose. Get over it.

Here are the projected line ups for the Penguins:

Forward
Chris Kunitz - Sidney Crosby - Pascal Dupuis
Eric Tangradi - Mike Comrie -Evgeni Malkin
Tyler Kennedy - Mark Letestu - Matt Cooke
Mike Rupp - Craig Adams/Maxime Talbot - Eric Godard

Defense
Zbynek Michalek - Brooks Orpik
Kris Letang - Paul Martin
Ben Lovejoy/Deryk Engelland - Alex Goligoski

Goaltender
Marc Andre Fleury

And for the Habs:

Forwards
Michael Cammalleri - Tomas Plekanec - Andrei Kostitsyn
Benoit Pouliot - Scott Gomez - Brian Gionta
Lars Eller - Jeff Hapern - Maxim Lapierre
Travis Moen - Dustin Boyd - Tom Pyatt

Defense
Hal Gill - Josh Gorges
Alexandre Picard - Ryan O'Byrne
Jaroslav Spacek - P.K. Subban

Goaltender
Carey Price

The all telling statline:

Do it.
