Thank You Veterans
This is something that really doesn't get talked about enough and although most of us do believe this and feel it we don't express it nearly enough. Today is Veteran's Day and a day to honor those who have served in our military and those who defend our country.
It shouldn't take a "holiday" for us to say thank you to these people. They put their lives on the line for weeks and years to protect this country. They put their personal lives on hold for long periods of time to go into sticky situations and protect this country, the best country in the world.
A lot of us here in the states do not see eye-to-eye when it comes to the wars and what we do with our military personal, but one thing that we should all agree on is that these people are risking their lives for us. They are risking our lives so that we can feel safe and so we can try and live with the freedoms we were born with.
Everyone has a friend, a brother, a sister, a family member that has served and you know how tough it is wondering and worrying about them. This is their day.
I can't even put into words how thankful I am for everyone that defends this country. I really can't.
On this blog I am mostly cracking jokes and making fun of teams and talk about our Pittsburgh sports teams, but this is much bigger. This is a post about a bigger sports team. The players on this team are the real hero's. They actually put their lives on the line for the team. That team is the United States of America.
Thank you veterans and troops. We love you.
