Brent Johnson KO's Rick DiPietro

It was a routine game for the Penguins as they took on the Islanders at the CONSOL Energy Center tonight. The Penguins have won the last 11 match ups at home against the Islanders and shut them out for the second consecutive time. The Islanders have not scored on the Penguins in almost three games.

The game was 3-0 with about 17 seconds left when this happened:

Knocked the F out.

Couple thoughts:

-DiPietro is a total clown for initiating the contact with Cooke

-He called out BJ and doesn't get a punch off

-How can't you be ready? BJ had to skate the entire length of the ice to get to you.

-DiPietro is a tool. He must be just getting used to playing on the ice instead of playing checkers in the press box with his various injuries

-This is believed to be the first goalie fight in like four years since Ray Emery and Martin Biron went at it.

-BJ lost the shutout because it goes down as a "team" shutout. When asked if it was worth it Beej said it was. He also said he has been wanting to do that for a long time. Love it.

-MAF's reaction might be just as good as the fight.

-The crowd absolutely love it. If you left early you should not be allowed back into another game.
