Well, I didn't get to watch the game tonight because I am out of town for work and in all seriousness it looks as if I am glad I did. It seems as if the Pirates are continuing the trend of being an up and down team and dropped the second game of the three game set to the Astros 4-1.
Like I said I didn't get to watch but from looking at the box score it looks as if Brad Lincoln did a pretty nice job. He went six innings and only gave up a pair of earned runs, both that came in the second inning. He struck out six batters and gave up five hits and most importantly didn't give up a single walk, something that the Pirates staff has had a problem with recently.
The Pirates offense was non-existent. Five hits and the only run came via a Ryan Doumit home run in the second inning. Neil Walker had two hits but no other Bucco had more than one. I am sure this was pretty frustrating to watch. I have seen it too many times before in my life and I know how it goes.
Whatever. Get them tomorrow.
