Penguins Game Day 7 - @ Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg Jets

8:30 p.m., MTS Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba

The Penguins will take on the former Atlanta Thrashers and current Winnipeg Jets tonight in beautiful Manitoba, Canada.

A few quick notes. The Penguins will be without Tyler Kennedy as he is down with what is being deemed as "concussion like symptoms." The Penguins will also be without Evgeni Malkin tonight as he did not even make the trip, still having trouble with his surgically repaired knee.

The last time that the Winnipeg Jets played the Pittsburgh Penguins was actually a 9-4 victory on March 5, 1996.

The last time the Penguins played this franchise was a 5-2 win over the Atlanta Thrashers on April 10, 2011. This was actually the final game in Atlanta for the Thrashers.

ESPN.com gives us a solid stat where the Jets/Thrashers franchise's lone win over Pittsburgh in the last three-plus years came April 10, 2010, when Bryan Little scored in a 1-0 victory. Fleury made 21 saves in the defeat. Unreal.
