Penguins back in business tonight and they are hurting. Jordan Staal is going to miss four to six weeks with a banged up knee and word is that Paul Martin isn't going to skate tonight with an illness which is probably true since they called up Simon Despres about an hour ago.
There is good news though as James Neal will be in the lineup as will Craig Adams and possibly Dustin Jeffrey. Neal was thought to be out "weeks" with a broken foot but it turns out that when he got an MRI it proved to not be a break that the x-ray showed. Who knows. Some people aren't buying that but stuff like that does happen. He took the morning skate today and said it actually feels good in a skate and it hurts a lot worse when he walks. It is just a bone bruise (if you believe the Penguins) so it will just be pain tolerance and he will not injure himself further by playing.
With all the bad news the Penguins got over the weekend today was just filled with good news. No word on Jeffrey playing but I bet he wouldn't. Kris Letang also skated hard for the second consecutive day which means he did not suffer any setback from his concussion. Maybe things are starting to work out a little better? I won't hold my breath.
Actually really excited for the game tonight. No idea why. Let's get it.
