7:00 p.m., CONSOL Energy Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Today is the first day of a busy week for the Penguins. Starting today the Penguins will play four games in six days, three of which will be played in the friendly confinds of the CONSOL Energy Center. The Penguins have played three pretty good games over the past week so hopefully that will continue tonight against a below average Carolina team.
The Penguins are getting healthier as Kris Letang practiced with the team today. While he will not be in the lineup tonight he is going to be back very soon. I would anticipate he won't be back until after the All-Star break but that is creeping up on us quickly.
The Pens have scored 10 goals in the last two games which includes four by Evgeni Malkin and three by James Neal. MAF has played much better lately and will get the start again for the Pens. They are playing for their playoff lives now, even though it is just over the mid point, so stacking points against bad teams is a must.
I hope I get to hear a Cam Ward chant.
