Penguins Game Day 48 - vs. Washington Capitals

Washington Capitals

12:30 p.m., CONSOL Energy Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

This finishes up a three game in four day stretch for the Penguins and after two shootout wins they are looking for a clean sweep over a struggling Capitals team. The Capitals team has only scored five goal in its last four games and has been shutout two of the last three games. Just not good times for the Caps but that doesn't mean that the Penguins shouldn't pick up two points today.

I think a lot of people are really off the ledge about the Penguins missing the playoffs but Washinton, as of right now, is in the eight spot, but just barely. Getting a win over them would further separate themselves from that number eight spot while pushing the Capitals down.

Marc Andre Fleury is in net for the start and this will mark the 21st straight game that he will play in (started 19 of those games including today). A lot of work for the Flower but I guess you can't really break up his good play in the five game winning streak. He did give up four goals to Montreal so hopefully he gets refocused for this one.
