Penguins Game Day 50 - vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

Toronto Maple Leafs

7:00 p.m., CONSOL Energy Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Penguins are finally back after the All-Star break and doesn't it seem like it's been longer than a week since they have played their last game. Well don't fear because the Penguins are going to be playing a ton of hockey this week so you will be thrust right back into it. Tonight kicks off a home-and-home for the Penguins and Leafs before they play another back-to-back games this weekend against the Bruins and Devils. Wouldn't have it any other way.

The Leafs are coming in fighting for a playoff spot. Currently they sit in ninth place in the East and have the exact same number of points as the Devils, who are in eighth place.

Jonas Gustavsson has started in 10 of the last 11 contests and is actually playing some pretty decent hockey although he is not exactly what you would call a stable goaltender if you asked many of the Leafs fans that are out there. Joff Lupul should be a pretty familiar name as he was a Philadelphia Flyer and has always played pretty well against the Penguins. This year he is playing really well for the Leafs as he leads the team with 52 points and 32 assists. Phil Kessel is also pretty good even though he looks like that chubby kid that everyone makes fun of but you are still friends with.

MAF is going to be in net tonight. Shocker. He has played in like every single game this season but I would expect that his workload is going to be a little lighter the second half with a ton of back-to-backs.
