Penguins Game 27 Preview - vs. Boston Bruins

Boston Bruins

7:30 p.m., CONSOL Energy Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Last Penguins Game:
March 10, 2013 - Pittsburgh 6, New York Islander 1 [Recap]

The Bruins are going to be in a tough situation where they have to play in Pittsburgh the next day after playing a shootout game in Ottawa last night where they got little to no sleep before and after traveling to Pittsburgh. This should work to the Penguins advantage but this is the NHL and any team is cabable of beating any other team on any given night no matter how much rest either team go.

The Bruins are also in a span of playing five games in seven days but that only started last night. I think we might see this more on Sunday when the Bruins will play in the seventh day of that span and the Bruins will once again be in Pittsburgh.

No matter the schedule or the rest that has been given to any team the Bruins are still one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. So far They have only lost three games in regulation and have only lost six games total when you factor in shootout losses. That is pretty damn good. The Bruins aren't going to blow you away with offense but their defense is about as good as it gets and without Evgeni Malkin on the ice that is going to hamper the Penguins.

The Penguins, however, are one of the best offensive teams in teh leauge and it is going to be a lot of fun to watch this game. While the Bruins don't have the offensive fire power they still have some really nice offensive piences and Marc-Andre Fleury and the defense are going to have to be on their A games if the Penguins want to come out with two points.
