-Tim Hudson has made three starts so far this season and has been really good for the Braves (as has most everyone else). In his last outing Hudson threw seven innings scattering only four hits and striking out three in a 3-1 win over the Nationals.

-Last season Hudson made only one start against the Pirates and went only five innings giving up six hits and two runs (both earned).

-Wandy Rodriguez is making his first start since leaving his April 8 start against the Diamondbacks with a hamstring problem. He missed his last start so hopefully this is all behind him because a major injury to Rodriguez would be a huge blow to the Pirates staff that hasn't been very good at all to start the season. In his last healthy game Rodriguez went 6.2 innings and gave up two hits with six strikeouts against the Cubs on April 3.

-The Braves went deep four times in the win on Thursday night and it would be adviseable for them to try and keep the ball in the ballpark tonight. Throughout his career Rodriguez has given up 1.00 HR/9 and he likes to keep the ball on the ground with a 45% career ground ball rate so that should help him tonight.
