Pirates Game 5 Recap - Dodgers 1, Pirates 0

Before the game this was ROOT Sports was showing in the pregame:

This was how today's game turned out:

Really just another embarrassing performance. Not only was the offense nonexistent was the Pirates gave away a couple of free outs with some just horrid base running when they actually did have base runners. Just fundamental mistakes that you learn in little league.

The pitching was good yet again. A.J. Burnett wasn't great but he was good. I mean that isn't saying he had a bad performance, because he didn't, but I don't really think I can call it anything more than pretty good when he can't even get through six innings. The pen picked him up though and the Pirates pitchers combined to give up only one run. You can't ask for much more than that.

Something needs to happen to wake these hitters up. Even if you are going to struggle hitting you have to run the bases well when you do get on base.

Just so frustrating.

Clayton Kershaw was great. Nothing shocking there.

Whatever. The great thing about baseball is that there is another game tomorrow.
