Penguins Game 8 Preview - vs. Vancouver Canucks

 Vancouver Canucks

1:00 p.m., Consol Energy Center, Pittsburgh, PA

The Last Penguins Game
October 17, 2013 - Pittsburgh 4, Philadelphia 1 [Recap]

Things are going pretty well for the Penguins. While they are playing a bunch of teams that aren't very good they are still getting wins and that is all that matters. Hell, they are playing Deryk Engelland on the right wing on the fourth line and they are beating NHL teams by three goals. It doesn't matter how good the teams they are playing are, the wins all count the same. Right now the Penguins are the best team in the Atlantic Metropolitan Division by a long shot and they look to continue that as a Western Conference foe come in.

The Penguins don't play the Canucks all that often. Once a season they get together and even at that it doesn't really feel like they play. Ever. Well, they do today and it comes during the day on a Saturday. I mean this is pretty much like they aren't playing if you ask me. It is what it is though.

Despite people really hating Vancouver and pretty much everything about the team they do have some talent with Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin while Roberto Luongo does a better job in net than a lot of people want to give them credit for. They have won five of their last seven games including their last two games after losing the previous two.

Should be fun.
