Pirates Game 51 Recap - New York 4, Pittsburgh 2

This game kinda sucked. Despite not throwing very well Edison Volquez gave up only two runs and kept the Pirates in the game long enough for them to tie it. Then Jeanmar Gomez came in and faced four batters and he got one of them out. After the Pirates got two runs to tie it in the top of the inning Gomez gave them right back in the bottom half.

That is about how this game went.

The Pirates actually had some opportunities later in the game. In the eighth inning, down two, the Pirates had runners on first and third with only one out. Pedro Alvarez pinch hit for Justin Wilson and after swinging through a couple of breaking balled bounced a tailor made double play ball back up the middle. The Pirates got the tying run on base in the ninth but couldn't do anything.

Maybe the best part of the game was before the game even started. Here is the first pitch by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson:

Maybe the best part of that isn't the horrid throw but that the camera man who almost gets hit with the ball doesn't even flinch. Like he doesn't even pull his camera down. That is a true pro.

Hopefully the Pirates can pull one out today. They play in literally like three minutes. Yay late recaps!
